Meric Craig Bloch Webinar Series: Part 3 - Reporting the Investigation Findings and Post-Investigation Issues

Internal investigations occur routinely in most companies, but is your company maximizing their value?

You won’t want to miss the opportunity to hear renowned author Meric Craig Bloch present this extraordinary three-part series based on his newly released book, “An Insider’s Guide to Workplace Investigations.”

This webinar series examines management techniques and processes needed to create a workplace investigations unit. It is intended to help you build and run a successful and valuable corporate resource. Particular attention is directed to establishing investigative protocols and best practices that will survive the scrutiny of business leaders, affected employees, and third parties.

Title: Part 3 – Reporting the Investigation Findings and Post-Investigation Issues
Presenter: Meric Bloch, Vice President – Corporate Compliance, Adecco Group North America
Date: Thursday, July 31, 2008
Time: 1:00pm Eastern (10:00 am Pacific) – To determine the time in your geographical location, click HERE.
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: None

Part 3 in this three-part series will provide answers to the following questions:

  • What should your final reports look like, and what are the benefits and risks of documentation?
  • How do you inform others of the outcome of the investigation?
  • Why don’t legal privileges against disclosing the investigation apply?
  • How do you track and showcase your group’s output and effectiveness?
  • What can go wrong in an investigation, and how can you avoid it?

The investigations process is not about being the “company cop.” Investigations furnish knowledge. The knowledge determines what we know about our company’s risks and influences how that information can be applied. The investigation goal must be to prevent future damage to the company – by using investigation findings as a form of organizational intelligence -- rather than rebuilding it after the damage is done.

A business case – with its own value proposition – can be made for having a workplace investigations unit. But to do this effectively, you need to know how to embed the workplace investigations unit in your company’s culture as a business process. The ultimate value of this kind of unit depends on its seamless integration in the business.

Who should attend?

  • This series is intended for compliance managers and investigations-process owners.
  • Although investigators will benefit from the topics covered, each webinar focuses on the particular needs of people who supervise investigations, counsel internal business departments on investigation findings, and develop the investigations process’ strategic goals.
