News: EthicsPoint General Counsel Amanda Mayhew Appointed Privacy Officer
PORTLAND, Ore., April 24, 2007 – EthicsPoint, the market leader in business process optimization for Issue, Event, and Loss Management, today announced that Amanda Mayhew, EthicsPoint’s General Counsel, will also serve as the company’s Privacy Officer. As Privacy Officer, Mayhew, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), will manage data privacy compliance for the company and will support the company with a broad understanding of international corporate privacy issues, laws, and concepts as they may affect the business and its clients.

In addition to her new role as Privacy Officer, Mayhew will continue to serve EthicsPoint as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining EthicsPoint, Mayhew’s practice focused on corporate law and intellectual property, experience that continues to serve EthicsPoint in providing clients with software tools for business process optimization. Mayhew is currently serving as Chair of the Oregon State Bar's Affirmative Action Committee and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel–America; Oregon State Bar Corporate Counsel; Intellectual Property and International Law Sections; International Association of Privacy Professionals; and the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association.
